The Fly
Fishing...I was introduced to fly
fishing
over 25 years ago. The man I have to thank is Alex Brown; a Scot who
spent his youth fishing the rivers around his home town of Aberdeen,
Scotland. Alex moved to
the South East of England some thirty five years ago and continued his fishing
mainly on the lakes and reservoirs, Lullingstone and Bewl Water. Bewl
Water is approximately 15 kms from where I
live. To this day, I have yet to meet a
person who can cast a neater fly line than Alex - simply poetry in motion.
I consider myself privileged to be taught by such an exponent of the art.

The majority of my fly fishing time
has been spent in boats drifting the large reservoirs of England;
therefore the rivers of Corsica will be very different and interesting for
me.
Corsica has an abundance of crystal
clear rivers, streams and lakes (The Island has more rivers than any other
Mediterranean island). Thankfully, I managed to find some very
interesting websites, which have provided me with a lot of very
useful information. Details of these, and all the other
websites, which I have found useful, can be found by clicking the 'Links'
button above.
